Isothermic Dynamics
Daily maximum temperatures from 1981-2008 for generally dry summer period from April to June over northern areas of Pakistan, were analyzed on pentad basis.
The transparency platform of Pakistan is a working tool for national stakeholders on climate change. It accompanies the work on GHG inventories and help the tracking of actions and supports.
It contains two large separate modules, the first one is dedicated to GHG inventories, the second to actions (Policies and Measures) and supports.
Note: the adaptation module has been designed for the Food&Agriculte sector as a first step and is still under experimentation; it is expected to be further developed, through a “learning by doing” approach, in alignment with other national initiatives (notably the development of the National Adaptation Plan and the revision of the National Climate Change Policy)
"Inventories" and "editions" are independent. The roles associated with the two modules are also distinct.
Daily maximum temperatures from 1981-2008 for generally dry summer period from April to June over northern areas of Pakistan, were analyzed on pentad basis.
Sub-indicator presented and calculated based on river discharge (in cusecs) for river Kabul and Indus) from June 15th to June 30th.
Change in mean temperature (°C) in winter, summer and annual.
Heat wave: Number of days when, for some consecutive days, the temperature is greater than a certain threshold, keeping in view the climatology of the station.
The number of days counted as heat wave days when, for at least 6 consecutive days, the Tmax ≥ 90th percentile of the temperature records in a year
Severe Heat Wave=Five consecutive Days with Daily Maximum Temperature ≥ 40°C
Moderate Heat Wave= Five consecutive Days with Daily Maximum Temperature ≥ 35°C and <40°C
Number of days when, for at least 6 days, the minimum temperature remains less than a threshold value.
The number of days counted as cold wave days when, for at least 6 days, the Tmin ≤ 10th percentile of the temperature records in a year
Percentage of days when minimum temperature is less than 10th percentile.
Difference of daytime maximum temperature and night time minimum temperature
